I am now officially a rising Graphic Design junior!
Hold On To What You Believe
I'm Dana Buffington and I reside in Greenville, NC. Reppin' the 252, in other words. I go to East Carolina University, but don't judge me because of that - not everyone at ECU is crazy. I'm an art major concentrating in graphic design and I lerv it. Basically, I'm a college student trying to live a life full of contentment and passion about the things I love doing most. Music is one of my biggest passions ever and I'm ever in debt to God for giving that talent to me. I'm learning about myself, about the people I love, about life, and about how to pursue God like he wants and needs to be pursued. I try to thank Him every day for the wonderful life He has given me, including my wonderful family, friends, and boyfriend.
Every graphic I look at, I end up critiquing it in my mind…
*those letters could be moved closer / further from each other a tad
*I like the way the graphic flows and moves my eye to complete the image
*etc etc etc
I guess that’s a good thing though.
Portfolio is turned in….now I wait.
Tomorrow is the big day.
I’m crossing my fingers and prayin that my portfolio submissions go well. This day determines what I will be doing for the rest of my college career and I am so very nervous. I hope to at least get into either graphic design or photography. It’s not in my hands…I’ve done the work to get to this point, but now I think God will decide which path is better for me and my future.
I think I’ve got almost everything I need so that I can finish this packaging and design project. Score.
Someone do my graphic design homework for me?
So after I left the house this morning at 7:45 to get to my 8 am, my teacher sends out a mass email to our class saying, “Hi folks, I’m running late. We will start at 8:45.” Okay, I guess…but ya coulda sent it earlier. And thennnn, when we all get into the classroom, she comes in and says, “Alright, I still need a little more time. We will start in about half an hour.” WHAT THE HAY WOMAN. I could have slept a little bit and stayed warm in my bed. I hope everything is okay with her situation, but still. This is a little unfair - just cancel class :/
